We are excited to share the
news of a
wonderful opportunity for you and your neighborhood. Perhaps you have
noticed
that all our parks in
The City of
Come
join your neighbors in creating a glorious park monument for
Viña Vieja Park.
Please select one of the two
workshops to attend.
Tile
Workshop:

This
will
be a delightful two hour project for your children and or you. Participants will create their design,
transfer it onto the tile, and glaze it. The Armory artist will
lead participants
through some very basic drawing exercises before they start on
their
design. Each individual can create two tiles--one for the
monument
and one to take home. Participants will leave their tiles and the
artist
will take them to be fired. It will probably take two to three
weeks to
get them back. Wear casual clothing; something you don't mind
soiling. Be
prepared to have fun as you become a part of our newest park’s history.
Please call Rhonda Stone at 626.744.4740
to reserve a space for one
of the two tile workshops. If you are
leaving a message please leave each
participant’s name, a phone number, and indicate which workshop you
would like
to attend. There will be a cap of 20 for each workshop. Any and all
messages
will be returned.
